The Sims FreePlay is the mobile version of the well-known life simulation saga The Sims, developed and published by Electronic Arts Inc. Basically, it is quite similar to the PC and console versions, but carried out on your mobile device. Of course, it does not have so many features as the PC and console versions, but you can play the same as you have always played. However, those features that are missing in the mobile version, can make a difference for fans of the saga. Your Sims will not have interests or preferences, so the only differences amongst the actions you carry out are the experience points you will obtain.

The graphics are also quite similar to the other versions, even when we are speaking about mobile platforms. New and powerful devices with 1 GB RAM can run The Sims FreePlay without any kind of problem. If your mobile is not so powerful, you can also run this simulation game, but with some lag and bugs. Nevertheless, controls are smooth and easy to use since the touch-screen facilitates the use a lot. You just need to tap where you want your Sim to go and that is all. Tap on the item you want to use and nothing more. It seems unimportant, but it can save precious time if you are in a hurry.
As I said before, some features are lost in this mobile version. Sadly, one of my favorite parts of playing The Sims has disappeared; you cannot customize your Sim at will. This time, once you start playing your Sims will be randomly generated. If you don’t like its appearance, you just have to reroll and generate a new one. You cannot even decide its name or personality. The only thing you can do is customize parts of its face and hair, and some clothing. However, don't be too down - you can customize your home as always.
In addition, even when you can only control one Sim at the same time, you have a full city at your disposal. This way, the game is a mix between SimCity and The Sims. You can buy houses that you can design. The better the house is, the more expensive it will be. Huge mansions can only be purchased when you have been playing for a long time. Other buildings such as Science Lab, Nightclub, Car Dealer or even a City Hall are available in your town and you can visit them whenever you want.
You will need money to do want you want in The Sims FreePlay. Having a job will provide you with money and experience points. The better your job is, the more money and XP you will earn. Apart from working, you can also have hobbies. This way, if you are not busy, you can go fishing, design fashion, swim and so on. You can increase levels of hobbies and earn XP, unique items and also money.
